Background

I've always had a fascination with electronics and computing and have owned various 8-bit and 16-bit systems over the years. I've always had a soft spot for the Motorola 6809 and 68000. Recently, I stumbled across Mega Micros and liked the look of the 68030 system described there. The board is current at revision 2 (sbc-2), with revision 3 in beta. I contacted the site owner and was lucky enough to purchase an sbc-3beta3 board from him. The board came without CPU, duart, PI/T and memory. In preparing to start playing with the board, I started pulling together as much information as I could find, much of it from the Mega Micros website, but found that there were gaps in my knowledge. I decided to start this wiki, both to capture everything I'm learning, but also in the hope that other users of the boards might find it useful, too. There's also active discussion taking place on Discord.
